we all have a responsibility to keep everyone safe at work and look out for our workmates remember if you see something that might be unsafe tell your supervisor straight away see something,say something.

Today we'll be looking at how to identify a hazard that means being able to recognize,when something near caused harm to us or to others let's run through a few examples

Do not leave crates,pallets or any other obstadles in walkways people may walk into them trip,fall or setously hurt themselves, make sure you move obstadles out of the way or if this is not possible stand by them and warn other team members to walk around them ask one of your teammates to tell a supervisor it is in the wrong place.Do not leave wet and slippery floors unattended without a sign,as people may slip or fall on wet areas ensure you display signs warning people do not walk where the floor is wet,do not bend over an item in an attempt to pick it up as you may hurt your back.make sure you always bend from the knees when lifting an object,do not attempt to lift heavy items by yourself as this will cause serious infjuries,to lift a heavy item,find a teammate to assist you with a two-person lift and remember to bend from the knees.do not forget to use a horn when entering a contract through a doorway,you may run-into people walking through if you don't give them warning,use the horn to warn people you're coming through so that will stop to let you pass.

Do not use a piece of equipment that has a lockout tagout sign on it,as it means the machine is brokenand will not work properly,if you would like to use equipment which has a lockout tagout sign on it ask your supervisor why the machine can't be used and discuss different ways to complete the job.do not walk in areas designated for movingvehicles as you may be run over or cause an accident,use the walkways and designated footpaths moving vehicles will wait for you to pass at the pedestrian crossing,do not leave rubbish or walk past rubbish on the ground without picking tup one of your workmates may trip over it,Bedford fills in house keeping hecklists to try and check everything is neat and tidy but we need your help if you walk past any rubbish,please stop to pick up,we want everybody to be safe at work you can help keep your teammates safe at work too,remember,see something,say something
